యెహోషువ 24

1. యెహోషువ ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రముల వారి నందరిని షెకెములో పోగుచేసి, వారి పెద్దలను వారి ప్రధానులను వారి న్యాయాధిపతులను వారి నాయకులను పిలిపింపగా వారు వచ్చి దేవుని సన్నిధిని నిలిచిరి.

1. And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel and for their heads and for their judges and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.

2. యెహోషువ జనులందరితో ఇట్లనెనుఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవా చెప్పునదేమనగాఆదికాలమునుండి మీ పితరులు, అనగా అబ్రాహాముకును నాహోరుకును తండ్రియైన తెరహు కుటుంబికులు నది (యూఫ్రటీసు) అద్దరిని నివసించి యితర దేవతలను పూజించిరి.

2. And Joshua said unto all the people, "Thus saith the LORD God of Israel: `Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the river in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor; and they served other gods.

3. అయితే నేను నది అద్దరినుండి మీ పితరుడైన అబ్రాహామును తోడు కొని వచ్చి కనాను దేశమందంతట సంచరింపజేసి, అతనికి సంతానమును విస్తరింపజేసి, అతనికి ఇస్సాకును ఇచ్చి తిని.

3. And I took your father Abraham from the other side of the river and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed and gave him Isaac.

4. ఇస్సాకునకు నేను యాకోబు ఏశావుల నిచ్చితిని. శేయీరు మన్యములను స్వాధీనపరచుకొనునట్లు వాటిని ఏశావు కిచ్చితిని. యాకోబును అతని కుమారులును ఐగుప్తులోనికి దిగిపోయిరి.

4. And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau; and I gave unto Esau Mount Seir to possess it, but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.

5. తరువాత నేను మోషే అహరోనులను పంపి, దాని మధ్యను నేను చేసిన క్రియలవలన ఐగుప్తీయు లను హతముచేసి మిమ్మును వెలుపలికి రప్పించితిని.

5. I sent Moses also and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to that which I did among them; and afterward I brought you out.

6. నేను ఐగుప్తులోనుండి మీ తండ్రులను రప్పించినప్పుడు మీరు సముద్రమునొద్దకు రాగా ఐగుప్తీయులు రథములతోను రౌతులతోను మీ తండ్రులను ఎఱ్ఱసముద్రమువరకు తరిమిరి.

6. And I brought your fathers out of Egypt; and ye came unto the sea, and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen unto the Red Sea.

7. వారు యెహోవాకు మొఱ్ఱపెట్టినప్పుడు ఆయన మీకును ఐగుప్తీయులకును మధ్య చీకటి కల్పించి సముద్ర మును వారిమీదికి రప్పించి వారిని ముంచివేసెను. ఐగుప్తు దేశములో నేను చేసినదానిని మీరు కన్నులార చూచితిరి. అటుతరువాత మీరు బహు దినములు అరణ్యములో నివ సించితిరి.

7. And when they cried unto the LORD, He put darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brought the sea upon them and covered them. And your eyes have seen what I have done in Egypt; and ye dwelt in the wilderness a long season.

8. యొర్దాను అద్దరిని నివసించిన అమోరీయుల దేశమునకు నేను మిమ్మును రప్పించినప్పుడు వారు మీతో యుద్ధముచేయగా నేను మీ చేతికి వారిని అప్పగించితిని, మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీనపరచుకొంటిరి, వారు మీ యెదుట నిలువకుండ వారిని నశింపజేసితిని.

8. And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, who dwelt on the other side of the Jordan. And they fought with you; and I gave them into your hand, that ye might possess their land, and I destroyed them from before you.

9. తరువాత మోయాబు రాజును సిప్పోరు కుమారుడునైన బాలాకులేచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో యుద్ధముచేసి మిమ్ము శపించుటకు బెయోరు కుమారుడైన బిలామును పిలువనంపగా

9. Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you.

10. నేను బిలాము మనవి విననొల్లనైతిని గనుక అతడు మిమ్మును దీవించుచునే వచ్చెను. అతనిచేతినుండి నేనే మిమ్మును విడిపించితిని.

10. But I would not hearken unto Balaam. Therefore he blessed you still; so I delivered you out of his hand.

11. మీరు యొర్దాను దాటి యెరికో దగ్గరకు వచ్చినప్పుడు యెరికోకు యజమానులగు అమోరీయులు పెరిజ్జీయులు కనానీయులు హీత్తీయులు గిర్గాషీయులు హివ్వీయులు యెబూసీయులనువారు మీతో యుద్ధము చేయగా నేను వారిని మీ చేతికప్పగించితిని.

11. And ye went over the Jordan and came unto Jericho; and the men of Jericho fought against you -- the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And I delivered them into your hand.

12. మరియు నేను మీకు ముందుగా కందిరీగలను పంపితిని; నీ ఖడ్గము కాదు నీ విల్లు కాదు గాని అవే అమోరీయుల రాజుల నిద్దరిని తోలివేసెను. మీరు సేద్యముచేయని దేశమును

12. And I sent the hornet before you which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites, but not with thy sword nor with thy bow.

13. మీరు కట్టని పట్టణములను మీకిచ్చియున్నాను. మీరు వాటిలో నివసించుచున్నారు. మీరు నాటని ద్రాక్షతోటల పండ్లను ఒలీవతోటల పండ్లను తినుచున్నారు.

13. And I have given you a land for which ye did not labor and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them. Of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.'

14. కాబట్టి మీరు యెహోవాయందు భయ భక్తులుగలవారై, ఆయనను నిష్కపటముగాను సత్యము గాను సేవించుచు, మీ పితరులు నది అద్దరిని ఐగుప్తులోను సేవించిన దేవతలను తొలగద్రోసి యెహోవానే సేవిం చుడి.

14. "Now therefore, fear the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt, and serve ye the LORD.

15. యెహోవాను సేవించుట మీ దృష్టికి కీడని తోచిన యెడల మీరు ఎవని సేవించెదరో, నది అద్దరిని మీ పితరులు సేవించిన దేవతలను సేవించెదరో, అమోరీయుల దేశమున మీరు నివసించుచున్నారే వారి దేవతలను సేవిం చెదరో నేడు మీరు కోరుకొనుడి; మీరె వరిని సేవింప కోరుకొనినను నేనును నా యింటివారును యెహోవాను సేవించెదము అనెను.

15. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

16. అందుకు ప్రజలుయెహోవాను విసర్జించి యితరదేవతలను సేవించినయెడల మేము శాప గ్రస్తుల మగుదుము గాక.

16. And the people answered and said, "God forbid that we should forsake the LORD to serve other gods;

17. ఐగుప్తుదేశమను దాసుల గృహములోనుండి మనలను మన తండ్రులను రప్పించి, మన కన్నులయెదుట ఆ గొప్ప సూచక క్రియలను చేసి, మనము నడిచిన మార్గములన్నిటిలోను, మనము వెళ్లిన ప్రజ లందరిమధ్యను మనలను కాపాడిన యెహోవాయే మన దేవుడుreference.

17. for the LORD our God, He it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went and among all the people through whom we passed.

18. యెహోవా ఆ దేశములో నివసించిన అమోరీ యులు మొదలైన ప్రజలందరు మనయెదుట నిలువకుండ వారిని తోలివేసినవాడు; యెహోవానే సేవించెదము; ఆయనయే మా దేవుడని ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చిరి.

18. And the LORD drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites who dwelt in the land. Therefore will we also serve the LORD, for He is our God."

19. అందుకు యెహోషువయెహోవా పరిశుద్ధ దేవుడుreference, రోషముగల దేవుడుreference, ఆయన మీ అపరాధ ములను మీ పాపములను పరిహరింపనివాడు, మీరాయనను సేవింపలేరు.

19. And Joshua said unto the people, "Ye cannot serve the LORD, for He is a holy God; He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins:

20. మీరు యెహోవాను విసర్జించి అన్యదేవతలను సేవించినయెడల ఆయన మీకు మేలు చేయువాడైనను మనస్సు త్రిప్పుకొని మీకు కీడుచేసి మిమ్మును క్షీణింప జేయుననగా

20. if ye forsake the LORD and serve strange gods, then He will turn and do you hurt, and consume you after He hath done you good."

21. జనులు అట్లు కాదు, మేము యెహోవానే సేవించెదమని యెహోషువతో చెప్పిరి.

21. And the people said unto Joshua, "Nay; but we will serve the LORD."

22. అప్పుడు యెహో షువమీరు యెహోవానే సేవించెదమని ఆయనను కోరు కొన్నందుకు మిమ్మును గూర్చి మీరే సాక్షులై యున్నా రనగా వారుమేము సాక్షులమే అనిరి.

22. And Joshua said unto the people, "Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen for yourselves the LORD to serve Him." And they said, "We are witnesses."

23. అందుకతడుఆలాగైతే మీ మధ్య నున్న అన్యదేవతలను తొలగద్రోసి, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాతట్టు మీ హృదయమును త్రిప్పుకొనుడని చెప్పెను.

23. "Now therefore put away," said he, "the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel."

24. అందుకు జనులుమన దేవు డైన యెహోవానే సేవించెదము, ఆయన మాటయే విందుమని యెహోషువతో చెప్పిరి.

24. And the people said unto Joshua, "The LORD our God will we serve, and His voice will we obey."

25. అట్లు యెహోషువ ఆ దినమున ప్రజలతో నిబంధన చేసి వారికి షెకెములో కట్టడను విధిని నియమించి

25. So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.

26. దేవుని ధర్మశాస్త్రగ్రంథములో ఆ వాక్యములను వ్రాయించి పెద్ద రాతిని తెప్పించి యెహోవా పరిశుద్ధస్థలములో నున్న సిందూర వృక్షముక్రింద దాని నిలువబెట్టి

26. And Joshua wrote these words in the Book of the Law of God, and took a great stone and set it up there under an oak that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.

27. జను లందరితో ఇట్లనెనుఆలోచించుడి, యెహోవా మనతో చెప్పిన మాటలన్నియు ఈ రాతికి వినబడెను గనుక అది మనమీద సాక్షిగా ఉండును. మీరు మీ దేవుని విసర్జించిన యెడల అది మీమీద సాక్షిగా ఉండును.

27. And Joshua said unto all the people, "Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us, for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which He spoke unto us. It shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God."

28. అప్పుడు యెహోషువ ప్రజలను తమ స్వాస్థ్యములకు వెళ్లనంపెను.

28. So Joshua let the people depart, every man unto his inheritance.

29. ఈ సంగతులు జరిగినతరువాత నూను కుమారుడును యెహోవా దాసుడునైన యెహోషువ నూటపది సంవత్స రముల వయస్సుగలవాడై మృతి నొందెను.

29. And it came to pass after these things that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being a hundred and ten years old.

30. అతని స్వాస్థ్యపు సరిహద్దులోనున్న తిమ్నత్సెరహులో అతడు పాతి పెట్టబడెను. అది ఎఫ్రాయిమీయుల మన్యములోని గాయషు కొండకు ఉత్తర దిక్కున నున్నది.

30. And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in Mount Ephraim, on the north side of the Hill of Gaash.

31. యెహోషువ దినములన్నిటను యెహోషువ తరువాత ఇంక బ్రతికి యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకొరకు చేసిన క్రియలన్నిటిని ఎరిగిన పెద్దల దినములన్నిటను ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు యెహోవాను సేవించుచు వచ్చిరి.

31. And Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua and who had known all the works of the LORD, that He had done for Israel.

32. ఇశ్రాయేలీ యులు ఐగుప్తులోనుండి తెచ్చిన యోసేపు ఎముకలను షెకెములో, అనగా యాకోబు నూరు వరహాలకు షెకెము తండ్రియైన హమోరు కుమారులయొద్ద కొనిన చేని భాగములో వారు పాతిపెట్టిరి. అవి యోసేపు పుత్రులకు ఒక స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఉండెను.

32. And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of silver. And it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.

33. And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in a hill that pertained to Phinehas his son, which was given him in Mount Ephraim.

యెహోషువ 23

1. చుట్టునున్న వారి శత్రువులలో ఎవరును వారి మీదికి రాకుండ యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు నెమ్మది కలుగ జేసినమీదట అనేక దినములైన తరువాత యెహోషువ బహు సంవత్సరములుగల వృద్ధుడాయెను.

1. And it came to pass, a long time after the LORD had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.

2. అప్పు డతడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులనందరిని వారి పెద్దలను వారి ముఖ్యులను వారి న్యాయాధిపతులను వారి నాయకు లను పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెనునేను బహు సంవ త్సరములు గడచిన ముసలివాడను.

2. And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, "I am old and stricken in age.

3. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ నిమిత్తము సమస్తజనములకు చేసిన దంతయు మీరు చూచితిరి. మీ నిమిత్తము యుద్ధము చేసినవాడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహో వాయే.

3. And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you, for the LORD your God is He that hath fought for you.

4. చూడుడి, యొర్దాను మొదలుకొని తూర్పు దిక్కున మహాసముద్రము వరకు నేను నిర్మూలము చేసిన సమస్త జనముల దేశమును, మీ గోత్రముల స్వాస్థ్యముమధ్య మిగిలియున్న యీ జనముల దేశమును మీకు వంతుచీట్లవలన పంచిపెట్టితిని.

4. Behold, I have divided unto you by lot these nations that remain to be an inheritance for your tribes, from the Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even unto the Great Sea westward.

5. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాయే వారిని మీ యెదుట నిలువ కుండ వెళ్లగొట్టిన తరువాత మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో సెలవిచ్చినట్లు మీరు వారి దేశమును స్వాధీన పరచుకొందురు.

5. And the LORD your God, He shall expel them from before you and drive them from out of your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised unto you.

6. కాబట్టి మీరు మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్ర గ్రంథములో వ్రాయబడినదంతటిని గైకొని అనుసరించు టకు మనస్సు దృఢము చేసికొని, యెడమకు గాని కుడికి గాని దానినుండి తొలగిపోక

6. Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;

7. మీయొద్ద మిగిలియున్న యీజనుల సహవాసము చేయక వారి దేవతల పేళ్లను ఎత్తక వాటి తోడని ప్రమాణము చేయక వాటిని పూజింపక వాటికి నమస్కరింపక

7. that ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you, neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause any to swear by them, neither serve them nor bow yourselves unto them.

8. మీరు నేటివరకు చేసినట్లు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను హత్తుకొని యుండవలెను.

8. But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.

9. యెహోవా బలముగల గొప్ప జనములను మీ యెదుట నుండి కొట్టివేసియున్నాడు, మీ యెదుట నేటివరకును ఏ మనుష్యుడును నిలిచియుండలేదు.

9. For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong; but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.

10. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున తానే మీకొరకు యుద్ధము చేయువాడు గనుక మీలో ఒకడు వేయిమందిని తరుమును

10. One man of you shall chase a thousand; for the LORD your God, He it is that fighteth for you, as He hath promised you.

11. కాబట్టి మీరు బహు జాగ్రత్తపడి మీ దేవు డైన యెహోవాను ప్రేమింపవలెను.

11. Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

12. అయితే మీరు వెనుకకు తొలగి మీయొద్ద మిగిలి యున్న యీ జనములను హత్తుకొని వారితో వియ్యమంది, వారితో మీరును మీతో వారును సాంగత్యము చేసిన యెడల

12. Or else, if ye do in any wise go back and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them and go in unto them and they to you,

13. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ యెదుటనుండి యీ జనములను కొట్టివేయుట మానును. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ మీరు నశించువరకు వారు మీకు ఉరిగాను బోనుగాను మీ ప్రక్కల మీద కొరడాలుగాను మీ కన్నులలో ముళ్లుగాను ఉందురు.

13. know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you, but they shall be snares and traps unto you and scourges in your sides and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.

14. ఇదిగో నేడు నేను సర్వ లోకుల మార్గమున వెళ్లుచున్నాను. మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ విషయమై సెలవిచ్చిన మంచి మాటలన్నిటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదని మీరు అనుభవ పూర్వకముగా ఎరుగుదురు; అవి అన్నియు మీకు కలిగెను, వాటిలో ఒక్కటియైనను తప్పియుండలేదు.

14. "And behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you: all have come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

15. అయితే మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీతో చెప్పిన మేలంతయు మీకు కలిగిన ప్రకారము మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ కిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశములో ఉండకుండ ఆయన మిమ్ము నశింపజేయువరకు యెహోవా మీ మీదికి కీడంతయు రాజేయును.

15. Therefore it shall come to pass that, as all good things have come upon you which the LORD your God promised you, so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things until He have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you:

16. మీరు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీకు నియ మించిన ఆయన నిబంధనను మీరి యితర దేవతలను పూజించి వాటికి నమస్కరించినయెడల యెహోవా కోపము మీ మీద మండును గనుక ఆయన మీకిచ్చిన యీ మంచి దేశ ములో నుండ కుండ మీరు శీఘ్రముగా నశించి పోవుదురు.

16. when ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God which He commanded you, and have gone and served other gods and bowed yourselves to them, then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which He hath given unto you."

యెహోషువ 22

1. యెహోషువ రూబేనీయులను గాదీయులను మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారిని పిలిపించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

1. Then Joshua called the Reubenites and the Gadites and the halftribe of Manasseh,

2. యెహోవా సేవకుడైన మోషే మీకాజ్ఞాపించినదంతయు మీరు చేసియున్నారు. మరియు నేను మీ కాజ్ఞాపించిన వాటన్నిటి విషయములో నా మాట వినియున్నారు.

2. and said unto them, "Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you.

3. బహుదినములనుండి నేటివరకు మీరు మీ సహోదరులను విడువక మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా ఆజ్ఞననుసరించి నడిచి యున్నారు.

3. Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the LORD your God.

4. ఇప్పుడు మీ దేవుడైన యెహోవా మీ సహోదరులతో చెప్పినట్లు వారికి నెమ్మది కలుగజేసి యున్నాడు. కాబట్టి మీరిప్పుడు యెహోవా సేవకు డైన మోషే యొర్దాను అవతల మీకు స్వాస్థ్యముగా ఇచ్చిన దేశములో మీ నివాసములకు తిరిగి వెళ్లుడి.

4. And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren, as He promised them. Therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents and unto the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the other side of the Jordan.

5. But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you: to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments, and to cleave unto Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul."

6. అతడీలాగు చెప్పిన తరువాత వారిని దీవించి వెళ్లనంపగా వారు తమ నివాస ములకు పోయిరి.

6. So Joshua blessed them and sent them away, and they went unto their tents.

7. మోషే బాషానులో మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రమునకును, యెహోషువ పడమటిదిక్కున యొర్దాను అద్దరిని వారి సహోదరులలో మిగిలిన అర్ధగోత్రమునకును స్వాస్థ్యము లిచ్చిరి. మరియు యెహోషువ వారి నివాసములకు వారిని వెళ్లనంపినప్పుడు అతడు వారిని దీవించి వారితో ఇట్లనెను

7. Now to one half of the tribe of Manasseh Moses had given a possession in Bashan, but unto the other half thereof gave Joshua among their brethren on this side of the Jordan westward. And when Joshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them

8. and he spoke unto them, saying, "Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment. Divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren."

9. కాబట్టి రూబేనీయులును గాదీయులును మనష్షే అర్ధ గోత్రపువారును యెహోవా మోషేద్వారా సెలవిచ్చిన మాటచొప్పున తాము స్వాధీనపరచుకొనిన స్వాస్థ్యభూమి యైన గిలాదులోనికి వెళ్లుటకు కనాను దేశమందలి షిలో హులోనున్న ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యొద్దనుండి బయలుదేరిరి. కనానుదేశమందున్న యొర్దాను ప్రదేశమునకు వచ్చినప్పుడు

9. And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the halftribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go unto the country of Gilead to the land of their possession, which they possessed according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

10. రూబేనీయు లును గాదీయులును మనష్షే అర్థ గోత్రపువారును అక్కడ యొర్దాను దగ్గర ఒక బలిపీఠ మును కట్టిరి. అది చూపునకు గొప్ప బలిపీఠమే.

10. And when they came unto the borders of the Jordan that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the halftribe of Manasseh built there an altar by the Jordan, a great altar to see to.

11. అప్పుడు రూబే నీయులును గాదీయులును మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపు వారును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యెదుటివైపున యొర్దానుప్రదేశ ములో కనానుదేశము నెదుట బలిపీఠమును కట్టిరని ఇశ్రా యేలీయులకు వర్తమానము వచ్చెను.

11. And the children of Israel heard say: "Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the halftribe of Manasseh have built an altar over against the land of Canaan in the borders of the Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel."

12. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు ఆ మాట వినినప్పుడు సమాజమంతయు వారితో యుద్ధము చేయుటకు షిలోహులో కూడి

12. And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh to go up to war against them.

13. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు గిలాదులోనున్న రూబేనీయుల యొద్దకును గాదీయుల యొద్దకును మనష్షే అర్ధ గోత్రపువారి యొద్దకును యాజకు డగు ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడైన ఫీనెహాసును పంపిరి.

13. And the children of Israel sent unto the children of Reuben and to the children of Gad and to the halftribe of Manasseh into the land of Gilead, Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest

14. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రముల న్నిటిలో ప్రతిదాని పితరుల కుటుంబపు ప్రధానుని, అనగా పదిమంది ప్రధానులను అతనితో కూడ పంపిరి, వారందరు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమూ హములలో తమ తమ పితరుల కుటుంబములకు ప్రధానులు.

14. and with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Israel; and each one was a head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Israel.

15. వారు గిలాదుదేశములోనున్న రూబేనీయుల యొద్దకును గాదీయుల యొద్దకును మనష్షే అర్ధ గోత్రపువారి యొద్ద కును పోయి వారితో ఇట్లనిరి

15. And they came unto the children of Reuben and to the children of Gad and to the halftribe of Manasseh, unto the land of Gilead, and they spoke with them, saying,

16. యెహోవా సర్వ సమాజపువారు చెప్పుచున్నదేమనగానేడు బలిపీఠమును కట్టుకొని నేడే యెహోవాను అనుసరించుట మాని, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుని మీద మీరేల తిరుగుబాటు చేయు చున్నారు?

16. "Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD: `What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel to turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have built yourselves an altar, that ye might rebel this day against the LORD?

17. పెయోరు విషయములో మనము చేసిన దోషము మనకు చాలదా? అందుచేత యెహోవా సమాజ ములో తెగులు పుట్టెను గదా నేటివరకు మనము దానినుండి పవిత్రపరచుకొనకయున్నాము.

17. Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD,

18. మీరు ఈ దిన మున యెహోవా వెంబడి నుండి తొలగిపోవునట్టు నేడు యెహోవా మీద తిరుగ బడి ద్రోహము చేసెదరేమి? ఆలాగైతె ఆయన ఇకమీదట ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సర్వసమా జముమీద కోపపడును గదా?

18. but that ye must turn away this day from following the LORD? And it will be, seeing ye rebel today against the LORD, that tomorrow He will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel.

19. మీ స్వాస్థ్యమైన దేశము అపవిత్ర ముగా నుండినయెడల యెహోవా మందిరముండు యెహోవా స్వాధీన దేశమునకు మీరు వచ్చి మా మధ్యను స్వాస్థ్యము తీసికొనుడి, మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా బలి పీఠము గాక వేరొక బలిపీఠమును కట్టుకొని యెహోవా మీద తిరుగబడకుడి, మా మీద తిరుగబడకుడి,

19. Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD wherein the LORD'S tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us; but rebel not against the LORD, nor rebel against us in building yourselves an altar besides the altar of the LORD our God.

20. జెరహు కుమారుడైన ఆకాను ప్రతి ష్ఠితమైన దానివిషయములో తిరుగబడినప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సర్వసమాజము మీదికి కోపము రాలేదా? తన దోషమువలన ఆ మనుష్యుడొకడే మరణ మాయెనా?

20. Did not Achan the son of Zerah commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Israel? And that man perished not alone in his iniquity.'"

21. అందుకు రూబేనీయులును గాదీయులును మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారును ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ప్రధానులతో ఇచ్చిన ఉత్తరమేమనగా

21. Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the halftribe of Manasseh answered and said unto the heads of the thousands of Israel,

22. దేవుళ్లలో యెహోవా దేవుడుreference, దేవుళ్లలో యెహోవాయే దేవుడుreference; సంగతి ఆయనకు తెలి యును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తెలిసి కొందురు, ద్రోహము చేతనైనను యెహోవామీద తిరుగు బాటుచేతనైనను మేము ఈ పని చేసినయెడల నేడు మమ్ము బ్రదుకనియ్యకుడి.

22. "The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, He knoweth, and Israel he shall know! If it be in rebellion or if in transgression against the LORD (save us not this day)

23. యెహోవాను అనుసరింపక తొలగిపోయి, దహనబలినైనను నైవేద్య మునైనను దానిమీద అర్పించుటకే గాని సమా ధాన బలులను దానిమీద అర్పించుటకే గాని మేము ఈ బలిపీఠమును కట్టినయెడల యెహోవా తానే విమర్శ చేయునుగాక. వేరొక హేతువుచేతనే ఈ బలిపీఠమును కట్టితివిు.

23. that we have built us an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let the LORD Himself require it.

24. ఏమనగా రాబోవుకాలమున మీ సంతానపు వారు మా సంతానపువారితోఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాతో మీకేమి సంబంధము?

24. And if we have not rather done it for fear of this thing, saying, `In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, "What have ye to do with the LORD God of Israel?

25. రూబేనీయులారా గాదీయులారా, మీకును మాకును మధ్య యెహోవా యొర్దానును సరిహద్దుగా నియమించెను గదా యెహోవా యందు మీకు పాలేదియు లేదని చెప్పుటవలన మీ సంతా నపువారు మా సంతానపువా రిని యెహోవా విషయములో భయభక్తులులేని వార గునట్లు చేయుదురేమో అని భయపడి ఆ హేతువు చేతనే దీని చేసితివిు.

25. For the LORD hath made the Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad. Ye have no part in the LORD." So shall your children make our children cease from fearing the LORD.'

26. కాబట్టి మేముమనము బలిపీఠమును కట్టుటకు సిద్ధపరచుదము రండని చెప్పు కొంటిమి; అది దహనబలుల నర్పించుటకైనను బలి నర్పిం చుటకైనను కాదు.

26. Therefore we said, `Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice,

27. మన దహనబలుల విషయములోను బలుల విషయములోను సమాధానబలుల విషయములోను మనము యెహోవా సన్నిధిని ఆయన సేవచేయవలయు ననుటకుయెహోవాయందు మీకు పాలు ఏదియు లేదను మాట మీ సంతతివారు మా సంతతివారికి చెప్పజాలకుండు నట్లు అది మాకును మీకును మన తరువాత మన మన తరములవారికిని మధ్య సాక్షియైయుండును.

27. but that it may be a witness between us and you and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the LORD before Him with our burnt offerings and with our sacrifices and with our peace offerings, that your children may not say to our children in time to come, "Ye have no part in the LORD."'

28. అందుకు మేముఇకమీదట వారు మాతోనే గాని మా తరముల వారితోనే గాని అట్లు చెప్పినయెడల మేముమన పిత రులు చేసిన బలిపీఠపు ఆకారమును చూడుడి; యిది దహనబలి నర్పించుటకు కాదు బలి నర్పించుటకు కాదుగాని, మాకును మీకును మధ్యసాక్షియై యుండుటకే యని చెప్పుదమని అనుకొంటిమి.

28. Therefore we said that it shall be, when they should so say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say again, `Behold the pattern of the altar of the LORD which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings nor for sacrifices, but it is a witness between us and you.'

29. ఆయన మందిరము నెదుట నున్న మన దేవుడైన యెహోవా బలిపీఠము తప్ప దహన బలులకైనను నైవేద్యములకైనను బలులకైనను వేరొక బలి పీఠమును కట్టునట్లు నేడు యెహోవాను అనుసరింపక తొలగి పోయినయెడల నేమి యెహోవామీద ద్రోహము చేసినయెడల నేమి మేము శాపగ్రస్తులమగుదుము గాక.

29. God forbid that we should rebel against the LORD and turn this day from following the LORD to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, besides the altar of the LORD our God that is before His tabernacle."

30. ఫీనెహాసను యాజకుడును సమాజ ప్రధానులును, అనగా అతనితో ఉండిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ప్రధానులును రూబేనీయులును గాదీయులును మనష్షీయులును చెప్పిన మాటలను విని సంతోషించిరి.

30. And when Phinehas the priest and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Israel who were with him heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them.

31. అప్పుడు యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడగు ఫీనెహాసు రూబేనీయులతోను గాదీయులతోను మనష్షీయులతోనుమీరు యెహోవాకు విరోధముగా ఈ ద్రోహము చేయలేదు గనుక యెహోవా మన మధ్యనున్నాడని నేడు ఎరుగుదుము; ఇప్పుడు మీరు యెహోవా చేతిలోనుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను విడిపించి యున్నారని చెప్పెను.

31. And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben and to the children of Gad and to the children of Manasseh: "This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass against the LORD. Now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD."

32. యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడగు ఫీనెహా సును ప్రధానులును గిలాదులోని రూబేనీయుల యొద్దనుండియు, గాదీయుల యొద్దనుండియు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల యొద్దకు తిరిగి వచ్చి జనులకు ఆ మాట తెలియచెప్పగా

32. And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, returned from the children of Reuben and from the children of Gad out of the land of Gilead unto the land of Canaan to the children of Israel, and brought them word again.

33. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులు విని సంతోషించిరి. అప్పుడు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు దేవుని స్తుతించి, రూబేనీయులును గాదీయులును నివసించు దేశమును పాడుచేయుటకు వారిమీద యుద్ధము చేయుట మానిరి.

33. And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up against them in battle to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt.

34. రూబేనీయులును గాదీయులును యెహోవాయే దేవుడనుటకు ఇది మనమధ్యను సాక్షియగు నని దానికి ఏద అను పేరు పెట్టిరి.

34. And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad called the altar Ed [that is, A witness], "For it shall be a witness between us that the LORD is God."

యెహోషువ 21

1. లేవీయుల పితరుల కుటుంబముల ప్రధానులు కనాను దేశమందలి షిలోహులో యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు నొద్ద కును, నూను కుమారుడైన యెహోషువ యొద్దకును, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రములయొక్క పితరుల కుటుంబముల ప్రధానులయొద్దకును వచ్చి

1. Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel.

2. మేము నివసించుటకు పురములను మా పశువులకు పొలములను ఇయ్యవలెనని యెహోవా మోషేద్వారా ఆజ్ఞాపించెననగా

2. And they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, "The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle."

3. ఇశ్రా యేలీయులు యెహోవా మాటచొప్పున తమ స్వాస్థ్యము లలో ఈ పట్టణములను వాటి పొలములను లేవీయుల కిచ్చిరి.

3. And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs:

4. వంతుచీటి కహాతీయుల వంశముల పక్షముగా వచ్చెను. లేవీయులలో యాజకుడైన అహరోను వంశకుల పక్ష ముగా యూదా గోత్రికులనుండియు, షిమ్యోను గోత్రి కులనుండియు, బెన్యామీను గోత్రికులనుండియు చీట్లవలన వచ్చినవి పదమూడు పట్టణములు.

4. And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. And the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot from the tribe of Judah, and from the tribe of Simeon, and from the tribe of Benjamin thirteen cities.

5. కహాతీయులలో మిగిలిన వంశకుల పక్షముగా ఎఫ్రాయిము గోత్రికుల నుండియు, దాను గోత్రికుల నుండియు, మనష్షే అర్ధ గోత్రపువారినుండియు వంతుచీట్లవలన వచ్చినవి పది పట్ట ణములు.

5. And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot from the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and from the tribe of Dan, and from the halftribe of Manasseh ten cities.

6. ఇశ్శాఖారు గోత్రికులనుండియు, ఆషేరు గోత్రికుల నుండియు, నఫ్తాలి గోత్రికులనుండియు, బాషానులోనున్న మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రపువారినుండియు చీట్లవలన గెర్షోనీయులకు కలిగినవి పదమూడు పట్టణములు.

6. And the children of Gershon had by lot from the families of the tribe of Issachar, and from the tribe of Asher, and from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the halftribe of Manasseh in Bashan thirteen cities.

7. రూబేను గోత్రి కులనుండియు, గాదు గోత్రికులనుం డియు, జెబూలూను గోత్రికులనుండియు, వారి వంశములచొప్పున మెరారీయు లకు కలిగినవిపండ్రెండు పట్టణములు.

7. The children of Merari by their families had from the tribe of Reuben, and from the tribe of Gad, and from the tribe of Zebulun twelve cities.

8. యెహోవా మోషే ద్వారా ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వంతు చీట్ల వలన ఆ పట్టణములను వాటి పొలములను లేవీయుల కిచ్చిరి.

8. And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

9. వారు యూదావంశస్థుల గోత్రములోను షిమ్యోనీ యుల గోత్రములోను చెప్పబడిన పేరులుగల యీ పట్టణ ములను ఇచ్చిరి.

9. And they gave from the tribe of the children of Judah, and from the tribe of the children of Simeon these cities which are here mentioned by name,

10. అవి లేవీయులైన కహాతీయుల వంశము లలో అహరోను వంశకులకు కలిగినవి, ఏలయనగా మొదట చేతికివచ్చిన వంతుచీటి వారిది.

10. which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had, for theirs was the first lot.

11. యూదావంశస్థుల మన్య ములో వారికి కిర్యతర్బా, అనగా హెబ్రోను నిచ్చిరి. ఆ అర్బా అనాకు తండ్రి దాని చుట్టునున్న పొలమును వారి కిచ్చిరి.

11. And they gave them the city of Arba (the father of Anak), which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.

12. అయితే ఆ పట్టణముయొక్క పొలములను దాని గ్రామములను యెఫున్నె కుమారుడైన కాలేబునకు స్వాస్థ్య ముగా ఇచ్చిరి.

12. But the fields of the city and the villages thereof gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13. యాజకుడైన అహరోను సంతానపువారికి వారు నర హంతకునికి ఆశ్రయపట్టణమైన హెబ్రోనును

13. Thus they gave to the children of Aaron, the priest, Hebron with her suburbs to be a city of refuge for the slayer, and Libnah with her suburbs,

14. దాని పొల మును లిబ్నాను దాని పొలమును యత్తీరును దాని పొల మును ఎష్టెమోయను దాని పొలమును హోలోనును దాని పొలమును

14. and Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs,

15. దెబీరును దాని పొలమును ఆయినిని దాని పొల మును యుట్టయును దాని పొలమును బేత్షెమెషును దాని పొలమును,

15. and Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs,

16. అనగా ఆ రెండు గోత్రములవారినుండి తొమ్మిది పట్టణములను ఇచ్చిరి.

16. and Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs: nine cities from those two tribes.

17. బెన్యామీను గోత్రము నుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములను అనగా గిబియోనును దాని పొలమును గెబను దాని పొలమును

17. And from the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs,

18. అనాతోతును దాని పొలమును అల్మోనును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

18. Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs: four cities.

19. యాజకు లైన అహరోను వంశకుల పట్టణములన్నియు వాటి పొల ములు పోగా పదమూడు పట్టణములు.

19. All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.

20. కహాతీయుల వంశపువారైన లేవీయులకు, అనగా కహాతు సంబంధులలో మిగిలినవారికి వంతుచీట్లవలన కలిగిన పట్టణములు ఎఫ్రాయిము గోత్రమునుండి వారికియ్యబడెను.

20. And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites who remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot from the tribe of Ephraim.

21. నాలుగు పట్టణములను, అనగా ఎఫ్రాయిమీ యుల మన్యదేశములో నరహంతకునికొరకు ఆశ్రయపట్టణ మైన షెకెమును దాని పొలమును గెజె రును దాని పొలమును

21. For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in Mount Ephraim to be a city of refuge for the slayer, and Gezer with her suburbs,

22. కిబ్సాయిమును దాని పొలమును బేత్‌హోరోనును దాని పొలమును వారికిచ్చిరి.

22. and Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs: four cities.

23. దాను గోత్రికులనుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములను, అనగా ఎత్తెకేను దాని పొలమును గిబ్బెతోనును దాని పొలమును

23. And from the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbs, Gibbethon with her suburbs,

24. అయ్యాలోనును దాని పొలమును గత్రి మ్మోనును దాని పొలమును వారికిచ్చిరి.

24. Aijalon with her suburbs, Gathrimmon with her suburbs: four cities.

25. రెండు పట్టణ ములును, అనగా మనష్షే అర్ధగోత్రికులనుండి తానా కును దాని పొలమును గత్రిమ్మోనును దాని పొల మును ఇచ్చిరి.

25. And from the halftribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs: two cities.

26. వాటి పొలములు గాక కహాతు సంబం ధులలో మిగిలినవారికి కలిగిన పట్టణములన్నియు పది.

26. All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath who remained.

27. లేవీయుల వంశములలో గెర్షోనీయులకు రెండు పట్టణ ములను, అనగా నరహంతకునికొరకు ఆశ్రయపట్టణమగు బాషానులోని గోలానును దాని పొలమును బెయెష్టెరాను దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

27. And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, from the other halftribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs: two cities.

28. ఇశ్శాఖారు గోత్రికుల నుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములను, అనగా కిష్యోనును దాని పొలమును దాబెరతును దాని పొలమును యర్మూతును దాని పొలమును

28. And from the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs,

29. ఏన్గన్నీమును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

29. Jarmuth with her suburbs, Engannim with her suburbs: four cities.

30. ఆషేరు గోత్రికులనుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములను, అనగా మిషెయలును దాని పొలమును అబ్దోనును దాని పొల మును

30. And from the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs,

31. హెల్కతును దాని పొలమును రెహోబును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

31. Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs: four cities.

32. నఫ్తాలి గోత్రికులనుండి మూడు పట్టణ ములను, అనగా నరహంతుకునికొరకు ఆశ్రయపట్టణమగు గలిలయలోని కెదెషును దాని పొలమును హమ్మోత్దోరును దాని పొలమును కర్తానును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

32. And from the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs to be a city of refuge for the slayer, and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs: three cities.

33. వారి వంశములచొప్పున గెర్షోనీయుల పట్టణములన్నియు వాటి పొలములుగాక పదమూడు పట్టణములు.

33. All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.

34. లేవీయులలో మిగిలిన మెరారీయుల వంశములకు జెబూలూను గోత్రములనుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములను, అనగా యొక్నెయాము దాని పొలమును

34. And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, from the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,

35. కర్తాను దాని పొలమును దిమ్నాను దాని పొలమును నహలాలును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

35. Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs: four cities.

36. రూబేను గోత్రికుల నుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములను, అనగా బేసెరును దాని పొలమును యాహ సును దాని పొలమును

36. And from the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs,

37. కెదెమోతును దాని పొలమును మేఫాతును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

37. Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs: four cities.

38. గాదు గోత్రికుల నుండి నాలుగు పట్టణములును, అనగా నరహంతకునికొరకు ఆశ్రయపట్టణమగు గిలాదులోని రామోతును దాని పొల మును మహనయీమును దాని పొలమును

38. And from the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs to be a city of refuge for the slayer, and Mahanaim with her suburbs,

39. హెష్బోనును దాని పొలమును యాజెరును దాని పొలమును ఇచ్చిరి.

39. Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs: four cities in all.

40. వారి వారి వంశములచొప్పున, అనగా లేవీయుల మిగిలిన వంశములచొప్పున అవన్నియు మెరారీయులకు కలిగిన పట్టణములు. వంతుచీటివలన వారికి కలిగిన పట్టణములు పండ్రెండు.

40. So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, who were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.

41. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల స్వాస్థ్యములో వాటి పల్లెలుగాక లేవీయుల పట్టణములన్నియు నలువది యెనిమిది.

41. All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.

42. ఆ పట్టణములన్నిటికి పొలములుండెను. ఆ పట్టణములన్నియు అట్లేయుండెను.

42. These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them; thus were all these cities.

43. యెహోవా ప్రమాణము చేసి వారి పితరుల కిచ్చెదనని చెప్పిన దేశమంతయు ఆయన ఇశ్రా యేలీయుల కప్పగించెను. వారు దాని స్వాధీనపరచుకొని దానిలో నివసించిరి.

43. And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it and dwelt therein.

44. యెహోవా వారి పితరులతో ప్రమాణముచేసిన వాటన్నిటి ప్రకారము అన్నిదిక్కుల యందు వారికి విశ్రాంతి కలుగజేసెను. యెహోవా వారి శత్రువులనందరిని వారి చేతి కప్పగించియుండెను గనుక వారిలోనొకడును ఇశ్రాయేలీయులయెదుట నిలువ లేకపోయెను.

44. And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers. And there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

45. యెహోవా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు సెలవిచ్చిన మాటలన్నిటిలో ఏదియు తప్పియుండలేదు, అంతయు నెరవేరెను.

45. There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel. All came to pass.

యెహోషువ 20

1. మరియు యెహోవా యెహోషువకు సెలవిచ్చిన దేమనగా

1. The LORD also spoke unto Joshua, saying,

2. నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులతో ఇట్లనుముతెలియ కయే పొరబాటున ఒకని చంపిన నరహంతకుడు పారి పోవుటకు నేను మోషేనోట మీతో పలికించిన ఆశ్రయ పురములను మీరు ఏర్పరచుకొనవలెను.

2. "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, `Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spoke unto you by the hand of Moses,

3. హత్యవిషయమై ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాడు రాకపోవునట్లు అవి మీకు ఆశ్రయపురములగును.

3. that the slayer who killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither; and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.

4. ఒకడు ఆ పురములలో ఒక దానికి పారిపోయి ఆ పురద్వార మునొద్ద నిలిచి, ఆ పురము యొక్క పెద్దలు వినునట్లు తన సంగతి చెప్పిన తరువాత, వారు పురములోనికి వానిని చేర్చుకొని తమయొద్ద నివ సించుటకు వానికి స్థలమియ్యవలెను.

4. And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.

5. హత్యవిషయములో ప్రతి హత్య చేయువాడు వానిని తరిమినయెడల వాని చేతికి ఆ సరహంతుకుని అప్పగింపకూడదు; ఏలయనగా అతడు పొరబాటున తన పొరుగువాని చంపెనుగాని అంతకు మునుపు వానియందు పగపట్టలేదు.

5. And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand, because he smote his neighbor unwittingly and hated him not beforehand.

6. అతడు తీర్పు నొందుటకై సమాజము నెదుట నిలుచువరకును, తరువాత ఆ దినములోనున్న యాజకుడు మరణము నొందువరకును ఆ పురములోనే నివసింపవలెను. తరువాత ఆ నరహంతకుడు ఏ పట్టణమునుండి పారిపోయెనో ఆ పట్టణమునకును తన యింటికిని తిరిగి రావలెను.

6. And he shall dwell in that city until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest who shall be in those days. Then shall the slayer return and come unto his own city and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.'"

7. అప్పుడు వారు నఫ్తా లీయుల మన్యములోని గలిలయలో కెదెషును, ఎఫ్రాయి మీయుల మన్యమందలి షెకెమును, యూదా వంశస్థుల మన్యమందలి హెబ్రోనను కిర్యతర్బాను ప్రతిష్ఠపరచిరి.

7. And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in Mount Naphtali, and Shechem in Mount Ephraim, and Kirjatharba (which is Hebron) in the mountain of Judah.

8. తూర్పుదిక్కున యొర్దాను అవతల యెరికోనొద్ద రూబేనీ యుల గోత్రములోనుండి మైదానము మీదనున్న అరణ్య ములోని బేసెరును, గాదీయుల గోత్రము లోనుండి గిలాదు లోని రామోతును, మనష్షీయుల గోత్రములోనుండి బాషానులోని గోలానును నియమించిరి.

8. And on the other side of the Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain from the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead from the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan from the tribe of Manasseh.

9. పొరబాటున ఒకని చంపినవాడు సమాజము ఎదుట నిలువకమునుపు అక్కడికి పారిపోయి హత్యవిషయమై ప్రతిహత్య చేయు వానిచేత చంపబడక యుండునట్లు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకంద రికిని వారిమధ్య నివసించు పరదేశులకును నియమింపబడిన పురములు ఇవి.

9. These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel and for the stranger who sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood until he stood before the congregation.

యెహోషువ 19

1. రెండవ వంతు చీటి షిమ్యోనీయుల పక్షముగా, అనగా వారి వంశములచొప్పున షిమ్యోనీయుల గోత్ర పక్షముగా వచ్చెను. వారి స్వాస్థ్యము యూదా వంశస్థుల స్వాస్థ్యము మధ్యనుండెను.

1. And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah.

2. వారికి కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్య మేదనగా బెయేర్షెబా షెబ మోలాదా

2. And they had in their inheritance Beersheba (or Sheba), and Moladah,

3. హజర్షువలు బాలా ఎజెము ఎల్తోలదు బేతూలు హోర్మా

3. and Hazarshual, and Balah, and Ezem,

4. సిక్లగు బేత్మర్కాబోదు హజర్సూసా

4. and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,

5. బేత్లెబాయోతు షారూ హెను అనునవి,

5. and Ziklag, and Bethmarcaboth, and Hazarsusah,

6. వాటి పల్లెలు పోగా పదమూడు పట్టణ ములు.

6. and Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteen cities and their villages;

7. అయీను రిమ్మోను ఎతెరు ఆషానును అనునవి; వాటి పల్లెలు పోగా నాలుగు పట్టణములు.

7. Ain, Rimmon, and Ether, and Ashan: four cities and their villages;

8. దక్షిణమున రామతను బాలత్బెయేరువరకు ఆ పట్టణ ముల చుట్టునున్న పల్లెలన్నియు ఇవి షిమ్యోనీయుల గోత్రమునకు వారి వంశములచొప్పున కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్యము.

8. and all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

9. షిమ్యోనీయుల స్వాస్థ్యము యూదా వంశస్థుల వంతులోని భాగము; ఏలయనగా యూదా వంశస్థుల భాగము వారికి ఎక్కువ గనుక వారి స్వాస్థ్యము నడుమను షిమ్యోనీయులు స్వాస్థ్యము పొందిరి.

9. Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon, for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them. Therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.

10. మూడవవంతు చీటి వారి వంశముచొప్పున జెబూలూ నీయుల పక్షముగా వచ్చెను. వారి స్వాస్థ్యపు సరిహద్దు శారీదువరకు సాగెను.

10. And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families, and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid.

11. వారి సరిహద్దు పడ మటివైపుగా మరలావరకును దబ్బాషతువరకును సాగి యొక్నెయాము నకు ఎదురుగానున్న యేటివరకు వ్యాపించి

11. And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam,

12. శారీదునుండి సూర్యోదయ దిక్కున కిస్లోత్తాబోరు సరిహద్దువరకు దాబె రతునుండి యాఫీయకు ఎక్కి

12. and turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia,

13. అక్కడనుండి తూర్పు తట్టు గిత్తహెపెరువరకును ఇత్కా చీనువరకును సాగి నేయావరకు వ్యాపించు రిమ్మోనుదనుక పోయెను.

13. and from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goeth out to Rimmon to Neah.

14. దాని సరిహద్దు హన్నాతోనువరకు ఉత్తరదిక్కున చుట్టుకొని అక్కడనుండి యిప్తాయేలు లోయలో నిలిచెను.

14. And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon, and the boundaries thereof are in the Valley of Jiphthahel,

15. కట్టాతు నహలాలు షిమ్రోను ఇదలా బేత్లెహేము అను పండ్రెండు పట్టణములును వాటి పల్లెలును.

15. and Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

16. ఆ పట్టణము లును వాటి పల్లెలును వారి వంశములచొప్పున జెబూలూ నీయులకు కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్యము.

16. This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

17. నాలుగవ వంతు చీటి వారి వంశములచొప్పున ఇశ్శా ఖారీయుల పక్షముగా వచ్చెను.

17. And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.

18. వారి సరిహద్దు యెజ్రె యేలు కెసుల్లోతు షూనేము హపరాయిము షీయోను అనహరాతు రబ్బీతు కిష్యోను

18. And their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

19. అబెసు రెమెతు ఏన్గన్నీము

19. and Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath,

20. ఏన్‌హద్దా బేత్పస్సెసు అను స్థలములవరకు

20. and Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez,

21. సాగి తాబోరు షహచీమా బేత్షెమెషు

21. and Remeth, and Engannim, and Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez.

22. అను స్థలములను దాటి యొర్దాను వరకు వ్యాపించెను.

22. And the border reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh, and the boundaries of their border were at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

23. వాటి పల్లెలు గాక పదుమూడు పట్టణములు వారి కాయెను. అవి వాటి పల్లెలతో కూడ వారి వంశముల చొప్పున ఇశ్శాఖారీయుల గోత్రమునకు కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్యము.

23. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.

24. అయిదవ వంతు చీటి వారి వంశములచొప్పున ఆషేరీ యుల పక్షముగా వచ్చెను.

24. And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

25. వారి సరిహద్దు హెల్క తుహలి బెతెను అక్షాపు

25. And their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph,

26. అలమ్మేలెకు అమాదు మిషె యలు. పడమట అది కర్మెలువరకును షీహోర్లిబ్నాతు వరకును సాగి

26. and Alammelech, and Amad, and Mishal; and reacheth to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath;

27. తూర్పుదిక్కున బేత్దాగోనువరకు తిరిగి జెబూలూను భాగమును యిప్తాయేలు లోయను దాటి బేతేమెకునకును నెయీయేలునకును ఉత్తర దిక్కునపోవుచు

27. and turneth toward the sunrising to Bethdagon, and reacheth to Zebulun, and to the Valley of Jiphthahel toward the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and goeth out to Cabul on the left hand,

28. ఎడమవైపున అది కాబూలువరకును హెబ్రోను రెహోబు హమ్మోను కానా పెద్ద సీదోనుల వరకును వ్యాపించెను.

28. and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto Great Sidon.

29. అక్కడనుండి ఆ సరిహద్దు రామావరకును కోటగల సోరను పట్టణమువరకును వ్యాపించి అక్కడనుండి తిరిగి హోసా వరకు సాగి అక్కడనుండి అక్జీబు సరిహద్దునుపట్టి సముద్రమువరకు సాగెను.

29. And then the border turneth to Ramah, and to the stronghold city of Tyre; and the border turneth to Hosah, and the boundaries thereof are at the sea from the border to Achzib;

30. ఉమ్మా ఆఫెకు రెహోబు వాటి పల్లెలతో కూడ అవి యిరువదిరెండు పట్టణములు.

30. Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.

31. వాటి పల్లెలతో కూడ ఆ పట్టణములు వారి వంశములచొప్పున ఆషేరీయుల గోత్రమునకు కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్యము.

31. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

32. ఆరవ వంతు చీటి వారి వంశములచొప్పున నఫ్తాలీ యుల పక్షమున వచ్చెను.

32. The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

33. వారి సరిహద్దు హెలెపును జయనన్నీములోని సిందూరవనమును అదామియను కను మను యబ్నెయేలును మొదలుకొని లక్కూము వరకు సాగి

33. And their border was from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakkum; and the boundaries thereof were at the Jordan.

34. అక్కడనుండి పడమరగా అజనోత్తాబోరు వరకు వ్యాపించి అక్కడనుండి హుక్కోకువరకు దక్షిణదిక్కున జెబూ లూనును, పడమట ఆషేరును దాటి తూర్పున యొర్దాను నొద్ద యూదావరకును వ్యాపించెను.

34. And then the border turneth westward to Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon the Jordan toward the sunrising.

35. కోటగల పట్ట ణము లేవనగా జిద్దీము జేరు హమ్మతు రక్కతు కిన్నెరెతు

35. And the fortified cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,

36. అదామా రామా హాసోరు

36. and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

37. కెదెషు ఎద్రెయీ ఏన్‌హాసోరు

37. and Kedesh, and Edrei, and Enhazor,

38. ఇరోను మిగ్దలేలు హొరేము బేతనాతు బేత్షెమెషు అను నవి; వాటి పల్లెలుగాక పందొమ్మిది పట్టణములు.

38. and Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh: nineteen cities with their villages.

39. ఆ పట్ట ణములును వాటి పల్లెలును వారి వంశములచొప్పున నఫ్తాలీయుల గోత్రమునకు కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్యము.

39. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages.

40. ఏడవ వంతు చీటి వారి వంశములచొప్పున దానీయుల పక్షముగా వచ్చెను.

40. And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

41. వారి స్వాస్థ్యపు సరిహద్దు జొర్యా

41. And the border of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Irshemesh,

42. ఎష్తాయోలు ఇర్షెమెషు షెయల్బీను

42. and Shaalabbin, and Aijalon, and Jethlah,

43. అయ్యా లోను యెతా ఏలోను

43. And Elon, and Timnah, and Ekron,

44. తిమ్నా ఎక్రోను ఎత్తెకే గిబ్బెతోను

44. and Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath,

45. బాలాతా యెహుదు బెనేబెరకు

45. and Jehud, and Beneberak, and Gathrimmon,

46. గత్రిమ్మోను మేయర్కోను రక్కోను యాపో అను స్థలములకు వ్యాపించెను.

46. and Mejarkon, and Rakkon, with the border before Joppa.

47. దానీ యుల సరిహద్దు వారియొద్దనుండి అవతలకు వ్యాపించెను. దానీయులు బయలుదేరి లెషెముమీద యుద్ధముచేసి దాని పట్టుకొని కొల్లపెట్టి స్వాధీనపరచుకొని దానిలో నివసించి తమ పితరుడైన దాను పేరునుబట్టి ఆ లెషెమునకు దానను పేరు పెట్టిరి.

47. And the border of the children of Dan went out too little for them. Therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

48. వాటి పల్లెలుగాక యీ పట్టణములు వారి వంశ ములచొప్పున దానీయుల గోత్రమునకు కలిగిన స్వాస్థ్యము.

48. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

49. సరిహద్దులను బట్టి ఆ దేశమును స్వాస్థ్యములుగా పంచి పెట్టుట ముగించిన తర్వాత ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు నూను కుమారుడైన యెహోషువకు స్వాస్థ్యమిచ్చిరి.

49. When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their borders, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them.

50. యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చిన దానినిబట్టి వారు అతడు అడిగిన పట్టణమును, అనగా ఎఫ్రాయిమీయుల మన్యప్రదేశములోనున్న తిమ్న త్సెరహును అతని కిచ్చిరి. అతడు ఆ పట్టణమును కట్టించి దానిలోనివసించెను.

50. According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in Mount Ephraim; and he built the city and dwelt therein.

51. యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజ రును నూను కుమారుడైన యెహోషువయు ఇశ్రాయేలీ యుల గోత్రములయొక్క పితరుల కుటుంబములలోని ముఖ్యులును షిలోహులోనున్న ప్రత్యక్షపు గుడారము నొద్ద యెహోవా సన్నిధిని చీట్ల వలన పంపకముచేసిన స్వాస్థ్యములు ఇవి. అప్పుడు వారు దేశమును పంచిపెట్టుట ముగించిరి.

51. These are the inheritances which Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
